Coral Expeditions grows partnership with the Australian Geographic Society
New – Adventure Awards Speakers Roadshow
Now in our 6th consecutive year of partnership with the Australian Geographic, we are proud to support an exciting new development for adventure, nature and conservation enthusiasts alike with the introduction of a new series of Adventure Award speaker events run by the AG Society. Coral Expeditions has proudly signed on as the exclusive presenting partner of the Australian Geographic Society’s roadshows in 2024 and 2025. This initiative promises another year of remarkable partnerships and impactful projects. The partnership will deliver a national series of 6 to 8 events annually featuring engaging interviews and insights from award winning adventurers hosted by the AG Society Chair, Chrissie Goldrick.
After a very entertaining sold-out inaugural event at Sydney’s Cremorne Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace hosted by Tom Robinson and Dr Richard Barnes, the Australian Geographic Society’s roadshow is expanding in 2024 with the first event to be hosted at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary in the Gold Coast. This event will see Dr Geoff Wilson AM, a world-class explorer and Tom Robinson, whom we may know as the ‘naked rower’, take to the stage at The Homestead Event Centre on Thursday 1 August from 6.30pm–8.30pm to share their incredible adventure stories.

All guests in attendance will receive our new expedition guide and special offers on future travel.
Nature Photographer of the Year Awards:
Another highlight of our partnership is the support we give to the prestigious annual Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year competition. This is a yearly event attracting entrants from aspiring and seasoned photographers who are encouraged to submit their best works, capturing the beauty, awe and challenges of the natural world around us. This competition not only celebrates outstanding photography but also raises awareness about conservation challenges facing our planet.
Coral Expeditions’ role as the travel partner of the Australian Geographic Society highlights our commitment to environment, conservation and discovery. We’re excited to see partnership promoting and recognising extraordinary talent in the field of nature, science, art and history. 2024 is Coral Expeditions 6th year of partnering with Nature Photographer of the Year award and we look forward to continuing this into the future. Each year, the overall winner earns themselves a place on one of our expeditions with a partner where they can explore, add to their experiences and content and share their stories and skills with guests onboard.
