Naomi Theil
Expedition Crew
I have been surrounded by water my entire life. Being brought up in a small town in South Australia called Goolwa, where the Murray River meets the sea really kick started my passion for the marine environment at a young age.
After high school I went on to study a bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and Aquaculture, and was fortunate enough to gain a job throughout my university degree in the Coorong National Park tour guiding. This job consisted of taking passengers out on a guided tour highlighting the bush tucker found in the Coorong National Park. I also worked on the mighty Southern Ocean as a Marine Biologist and tour guide conducting day tours by boat and observing different marine species and showcasing the beautiful scenery.
From my two jobs in South Australia it became very clear that tour guiding and travelling is where my heart is. Being able to access some of the most incredible remote places in Australia, all while observing wildlife in their natural habitats is an absolute dream come true. I’m so very fortunate, and since starting with Coral Expeditions I’m loving every second. I can’t wipe the smile off of my face!
