EXCITING THINGS TO COME FOR CORAL EXPEDITIONS

Future Cruise Calendar and New Travel Experiences

Our team has been hard at work over the past six months preparing for the launch of our full 2026/27 sailing schedule, and looking even further ahead with plans extending through to 2030.

We’re thoughtfully considering the travel experiences that will resonate most with both our current and future guests—experiences that offer exceptional value and unforgettable moments. We’re evolving and committed to building on our strong customer satisfaction by connecting you with adventures that go beyond our ships.

In the months ahead, we’ll be progressively unveiling new destination programs along with exciting new products for you to enjoy. Here’s a preview of what’s to come.

Around Australia

We are excited to announce the launch of a new Wild Escapes series—4 to 6 night itineraries designed to offer a refreshed style of escape into nature. These voyages will feature a more active range of experiences, allowing guests the freedom to enjoy self-paced adventure options. A unique culinary offering will also be introduced, with all ingredients sourced exclusively from local regions, including Tasmania, Tropical North Queensland, Western Australia’s Southwest and Margaret River, and the South Australian coast and islands.

Our valued partnership with the Australian Geographic Society will continue, with feature voyages each year. These will include our Citizen Science of the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Futures expeditions, the return of the popular West Australian Whales and Wildflower Trails, and a new series of birding and nature-themed voyages to the remote islands and cays of the Southern Kimberley, guided by award-winning photographers.

Additionally, we will offer an increased frequency of annual voyages that connect guests with the culture, people, and art of Arnhem Land, the Torres Strait, Tiwi Islands, and Cape York. Looking ahead to 2028, we are committed to offering annual expeditions to the remote sub-Antarctic territory of Macquarie Island, as well as unlocking access to the extraordinary Christmas and Cocos Islands.

International Expeditions

Headlining our international program will be an expanded range of sailings and greater variety across the Spice Islands, Papua New Guinea, Melanesia, and Micronesia. Our popular Island Trails and Traditions of Indonesia expeditions will also return, featuring destinations such as Komodo, Sulawesi, and Borneo. These immersive journeys continue to resonate with guests seeking cultural depth and remote natural beauty.

We are experiencing strong demand from international charter and travel partners in New Zealand and will now offer annual expeditions to explore the South Island’s stunning Sounds and Fiordlands. Our small-ship format and focus on environmental responsibility have enabled us to remain among the few cruise operators able to meet the increasingly high standards required for permits in these regions.

Land Based Packages

Explore Tasmania wilderness west coast on an escorted land tour over 4 nights as an ideal pre / post cruise option that visits Lake St Clair, Cradle Mountain and the Gordon River / Strahan World Heritage with accommodation at our NRMA partner lodges and a curated premium small group itinerary.

Fly into the tropical Queensland Outback Savannah country on a 3 night discovery tour and stay at the spectacular Cobbold Gorge, visit the Undara Lava tubes, stargaze in this dark sky region and enjoy a lively evening at the historic Goldfields Hotel.

Stay on in the Margaret River region and enjoy a 4-night culinary adventure on a guided agritourism exploration. Visit world class wineries and regional farmers markets in spring, forage for truffles and meet the makers of local dairy, chocolate and honey and indulge in intimate evening degustation meals with award winning chefs that feature some of the world’s finest produce.

Our final voyage to Japan…For Now

As part of our destination rotation, the 2025 season will mark our final departures into Japan and the Philippines for the time being—voyages that have been thoroughly enjoyed by our guests. In exciting news, we will soon announce a select number of specialty group travel expeditions, hosted by Coral Expeditions leaders and in collaboration with new global travel partners such as the UK-based Noble Caledonia. These journeys will take guests to extraordinary destinations including Mauritius, Madagascar, the Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Southern India, the Faroe Islands, and northwards towards Greenland. Designed as fully hosted experiences for our intrepid Xplorer Club members, these packages will include accommodation, airfares, and transport seamlessly arranged from and to Australia.
