Coral Expeditions is Australia’s pioneering Expedition Cruise Line operating three small ships on extended cruise itineraries through the Great Barrier Reef, Tasmania, Western Australia’s Kimberley region, PNG, and Asia. To support the build out of our company, we are now looking for experienced Marine Engineers to join our growing fleet.
Applications are invited from professional, self-motivated Engineers with demonstrated experience operating and maintaining vessels at sea.
Maintenance and repair of all mechanical, refrigeration and electrical equipment.
Ability to diligently follow the vessels Planned Maintenance System.
Assist in the management and compliance with the ships Safety Management Systems
On-board Safety Officer
Assist with snorkel watch as required
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Minimum Certificate of Competency as Marine Engine Driver Grade 1 / or Engineer Watch keeper
Experience in the operation and maintenance of medium sized vessels within the 30 to 65 metre range.
Mechanical or Electrical trade
Experience on passenger/tourism ships highly regarded

Our guests come largely from Australia and we have a growing clientele from key western global markets including North America, UK, Europe and NZ. Our renowned itineraries include The Kimberley, the Great Barrier Reef, Cape York and Arnhem Land, Tasmania, Papua New Guinea and Spice Islands of Indonesia.
To support the forward growth of our company, we are looking for two experienced Sales Executives to join the commercial team. These roles will encompass sales activity with trade, retail, consumer direct and the loyalty database and will be responsible for all sales activity across the following domestic regions;
Sales Executive: NSW and ACT
Sales Executive: VIC, SA and Tasmania
Working as an integral part of a small and busy distribution department, the Sales Executive will take responsibility of the day-to-day sales results and bookings pipeline for our cruise itineraries and voyages. These are Cairns based roles and will require regular and frequent travel to domestic regions across the year.
Essential criteria for candidates:
> A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales role with direct and recent experience in cruise and / or related travel industry. Experience in the tourism, hospitality, or leisure sectors is desirable.
> Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
> A high-quality level of personal presentation and confident communication skills.
> Strong time management, organisational skills & ability to prioritise tasks.
> An innate drive to develop business and contribute to a rapidly growing company.
> A sense of urgency with the ability to stay calm and deliver under pressure.
> A natural seller, with the ability to build strong relationships and with an existing travel industry network
> Adaptability to respond to whatever the day brings
> Well-developed technical and admin skills – able to prepare advanced reports and presentations.
