Marketing Executive

FOR IMMEDIATE START

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and eager individual to join Coral Expeditions – Australia’s Pioneering Cruise line – based in our Cairns Head Office.

Working as an integral part of a small but busy marketing department, the Marketing Executive will take responsibility of the day-to-day public relations function, be the go-to for channel (travel agent) marketing, and administer the loyalty, eDM and CRM programmes. They will also assist the greater team in the development of print and digital media.

Essential criteria:

– At least 2 – 4 years experience in a marketing role. Preferably in the tourism, hospitality, or leisure sectors but this is not essential.
– Strong copywriting/storytelling skills, with the ability to “find the angle”
– A pedantic attention to detail
– Strong time management, organisational skills & ability to prioritise
– An innate drive to learn and contribute to a growing company
– A sense of urgency with the ability to stay calm and deliver under pressure
– Natural flexibility to respond to whatever the day brings

The ideal person for this role is happy to contribute to the team, whether one day it is writing a press release or the next setting up banners on the ship! Most important to us is your attitude.

Galley Assistant

Provides outstanding service supporting the Chef in the galley operation.

Provides outstanding customer service in the areas of food, bar and wine service to guests and is responsible for maintaining the highest standard of accommodation presentation.

Manage the Galley in an efficient and effective manner, ensuring the timely delivery of excellent quality meals to guests as per the menu plan.

Front of House Manager

The Coral Expeditions FOH will ensure the comfort and well being of all guests is provided
to the highest standard at all times. They should consider all matters from the perspective,
“What would I do if they were my guests in my hotel?”

Mate

Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all decks, topsides, ship stores, voids, tanks and the efficient operation of the deck and tenders. This should be achieved by working to a planned maintenance program and by working with the Trainee GPH, GPH, Expedition Leader and Purser.

General Purpose Hand (GPH)

Responsible to the Chief Mate for the maintenance and cleanliness of all decks, topsides, ship stores, voids, tanks and the efficient operation of the deck equipment and tenders. This should be achieved by working to a planned maintenance program and by working with the Master, Chief Engineer, Purser, Expedition Leader and other onboard crew.

Master Coral Discoverer

The role of Master is a key on-board management position responsible for guest
satisfaction by managing all crew and all areas of cruise operation either directly or
indirectly through subordinate supervisors. The Master of a “Coral Expeditions” vessel is required to represent the very best interests of the owner at all times. All matters should be considered from the perspective, “what would I do if this were my vessel?”

Guest Lecturer

The Coral Expeditions philosophy is to hire and retain the highest quality marine staff in Australia.  We aim to create a positive environment for employees of all backgrounds onboard our ships and in our headquarters in Cairns.  Our success depends on our staff representing the brand and product in a positive light at all times, on and off duty.  We have a variety of incentive programmes to reward, promote and train our highest performing employees.

The Guest Lecturer is to provide expert information, interpretation and provide for appropriate Heath and Safety processes to Coral Expeditions passengers.

Purser Coral Expeditions I

The role of Purser is a key on-board management position responsible for guest satisfaction by managing Accommodation Services, Dining Room, Bar, Shop and generally planning and providing for all possible needs and wants of guests from registration to final checkout.

The Coral Expeditions Purser will ensure the comfort and well being of all guests is provided to the highest standard at all times.  They should consider all matters from the perspective, “What would I do if they were my guests in my hotel?”
